About Joel & His Service to the City

As I embark on this campaign, the recent events and inspiring resiliency of our community have further solidified my passion for representing and leading our city as we work together to navigate some really challenging times.

While serving as your councilmember from 2012-2018, we saw significant growth and improvements in the city we all call home. The addition of a nationally recognized sports franchise (go RAMS!), our first ever mixed-use project, the addition of several new bio-tech firms and the completion of a number of large infrastructure projects are just a few worth naming.

It’s 2020, and our work is never done. We must continue to focus on the principles and strategies that got us to where we are today. But, more than that, it’s imperative we collaborate, listen and take action to strengthen our local economy and provide opportunities for the city’s residents and businesses to emerge from COVID-19 and continue to thrive and prosper.

I am prepared to advocate on behalf of the city’s residents and businesses; I’m prepared to advocate for you. Our city is unique. There really is nowhere else like it. We must continue to prioritize responsible open space preservation, provide pathways for affordable housing opportunities to present themselves, and create an environment for local businesses to place roots and flourish.

I would greatly appreciate your continued support and ask for your vote on November 3, 2020.
